!!!!! Volunteer Needed! The SIC Secretary position needs to be filled for the 2020-2021 school year. The secretary is responsible for taking & delivering all meeting minutes, keeping the SIC website updated, & assisting the SIC Chairman when needed. The SIC meets once a month. This is a very low stress, easy position to fill. As a SIC board member, not only will you have a hand in making decisions that will help your children succeed throughout their stay at Langford but you often have first hand knowledge of what's happening throughout the district. SIC Goals
The following are goals that the SIC has set out to accomplish with the help of our parents, student body, staff & faculty, and community partners.
Goal #1: Build our library
Increase our book & periodical stock in order to meet the needs of the Langford's curriculum & provide students with materials that meet their information & recreation needs. To equip every student with life long learning skills & materials to bridge the gap between home, school, community, & the world.
Goal #2: Community & Business Partnerships
Actively involve parents & community partners to help prepare students for college, career, & citizenship by offering additional opportunities, support, & enrichment.
Goal #3: School Beautification
Build community relationships and develop a sense of pride and ownership by involving community partners in the transformation of playground area by planting flowers and shrubs along with mulching flower beds.
